Editorial desk review updated 28 October 2026. This profile reviews AvaTrade’s published platform, fee, regulatory and withdrawal terms. It is not a funded-account execution test or recommendation. The legal entity serving a customer, product eligibility and investor protections vary by country.
Overview
AvaTrade is a multi-asset forex and CFD broker offering MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, AvaTrade WebTrader and mobile applications, plus specific options and social/copy-trading services. Its published mainstream CFD pricing is principally spread-based, rather than a universal ‘Raw account plus commission’ structure. Different platforms and entities may offer different products, spreads, maximum leverage and risk protections.
Accounts and minimum deposit
The global AvaTrade Help Center describes the minimum opening deposit as 100 account base-currency units, for example US$100, €100 or £100 depending on the available currency. The minimum may vary by local entity, funding method and jurisdiction. For example, a region-specific support page lists different minimums and some comparison tables specify higher wire-transfer thresholds. Always use the amount shown in the verified client account, rather than assuming US$100 is universal.
Spreads, dealing costs and inactive accounts
AvaTrade’s published fee guide states that the buy/sell spread is the main cost of opening a typical CFD position and is built into the quote. Check the live instrument information panel for the actual spread on EUR/USD or XAU/USD. Overnight financing or interest adjustments can apply while holding positions after the funding cut-off. Inactivity and administration fees can apply under specified conditions; consult the current fee guide and contractual terms before leaving an account unused. A commission-free dealing claim should not be interpreted as fee-free trading or funding in all cases.
Platforms: MetaTrader, AvaTradeGO, AvaOptions and copy tools
MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 offer conventional charting and Expert Advisor workflows where supported. WebTrader and AvaTradeGO are aimed at browser/mobile trading and risk-management tools. AvaOptions provides a separate foreign-exchange options workflow subject to local product permission. AvaSocial and DupliTrade-style copy features, when offered, introduce additional strategy and platform risks and are not a guarantee of results. Platform availability is not identical in every legal entity.
Regulation and legal entities
The AvaTrade group publishes separate licensing information: AVA Trade EU Ltd — Central Bank of Ireland C53877; Ava Trade Markets Ltd — BVI Financial Services Commission SIBA/L/13/1049; Ava Capital Markets Australia Pty Ltd — ASIC AFSL 406684; Ava Capital Markets (Pty) Ltd — South Africa FSCA FSP 45984, disclosed as an intermediary; Ava Trade Japan K.K. — Japan FSA 1662; and Ava Trade Middle East Ltd — ADGM FSRA 190018. The group also discloses Cyprus and Kenya operations in other product arrangements. Protections for an EU entity do not automatically apply to a BVI account, and an intermediary registration does not necessarily mean that entity issues the CFD.
Deposits, withdrawals and expected receipt
AvaTrade’s Help Center states that eligible and fully verified withdrawal requests are normally processed and sent within one business day, while another official FAQ uses 24–48 business hours depending on method and compliance requirements. Those are broker-side handling estimates, not guaranteed receipt. After processing, cards can take up to five business days, e-wallets around one day, e-wire up to three days, and wire transfers up to ten business days depending on the receiving provider.
Payment-method matching and KYC identity verification affect which account can receive funds. Active bonus terms, margin held against positions, intermediary bank charges and currency conversion can also affect available withdrawal amounts and total cost. Confirm the options offered by the legal entity actually serving you.
What to compare before choosing AvaTrade
Verify legal entity and account access first; then compare real-time EUR/USD and XAU/USD spread, overnight financing, platform/EA compatibility, options suitability and withdrawal method. A lower headline spread may not reduce the full cost if financing or conversion is materially higher.
How we score
The editorial desk-research score of 4.0/5 is the arithmetic mean of the existing four published information categories: support 4.0, platform/features 4.5, withdrawal disclosures 4.0, and trading-cost disclosures 3.5. The score is an editorial comparison aid, not a measure of account safety, verified execution outcomes or expected returns.
